Never had an experience like this, maybe close in japan.  Such gorgeous but unexpected combos 

I don't seem to be able to say much when speaking to people in the hotel used to speaking English to guests, bye when I've need to, the Russian just comes out, obviously understood if not a bit clumsy

I'm only speaking Russian now, at the Swiss Air lounge in Zurich.  Used to being fluent in most languages, the Swiss just mumble back to me.

A Looming cultural hazard

My index finger knuckle is bruised from tapping blogs on my iPhone.  It hurts and is visibly swollen!

It was a late night

I was home at 3:15am, asleep at 3:16am, but I am up on my swiss-like schedule, up at 6:00am.  Of course, my clothes and gear for the day are laid out neatly for me.   I am out the door at 7:00:15 am to do a mini morming walking tour to meet ilian for our tour at "Stigmata" Square as we call it.
