Patrick stopped at a friendly but mediocre Mexican restaurant in crack-central Modesto. It got great reviews on tripadvisor by patrons of the local top draw, LaserQuest laser tag, and The Wing Stop. What an awful place. The highlight of the meal for me was coining a new term used when their oddly only-on-request authentic hot sauce reaches your gut,
"conflatuations".
Still, in comparison to the towns I recently visited in Russia, this town is paradise, the genuinely blessed U S & A.
Buddhist lesson: lows in life have a purpose, to make the mediocre pleasant.
