Wisconsin wisdom
Gracious cousin Mike lured my mum and me to the Pitts Brothers real estate offices in dairy-laden Wisconsin with a grand fully stocked bar and easy views into the spacious glassed offices for all three sons. Mike and I downed a few shots of vodka and had a long overdue chat while the sons worked away. Not seeing my warm extended family is one of the drawbacks of living on the other side of the planet, but perhaps I can lure some of them Down Under next time.

Isn't it Aunt Jean's birthday? We keep forgetting! And what happened to her and spritely 91-year-old Uncle Bob?
