My first time doing it Greek

A tired boy is dragging around the ruins.

First sighting!!

It kept my first Ancient City visit brief and brisk using binocs to cover distance rather than feet

Athens really is about culture, Not the ruins so much but modern trashy culture.  I was surprised that most of those walking the historic district were Greeks.  They see it as natural.  Some were very trashy.  But they belong here.

My street has an familiar-landmark sex shop on the corner.  My hotel is to the left in headed down the alley.

I am sure their ancestors had some trashy role in Ancient Greek culture, too.  People don't change- though the Economist magazine and I know the structure of society is improving our fate.

Acropolis view past trash bin

This is the city of understated urban graffiti

Every surface is an opportunity for street art.  Probably artists had the same motivations in ancient times.

Ruined ruin

Zanzibarian stacking!!

Now it's dinner time.

It's 10:39p.  I am really dragging.  Dinner tastes like basic Greek food.  Very Good.  Nice service.  Chattering American youth with their American accents.  The wine is exceptional.  The waiter chose his favorite Greek blend. I read it to him in Greek.  I really can read Greek!!

Greek food is Greek.

The sweet waiter just brought me a heavenly coco cake and liquor.  Yum.  Ready for bed.

Dat two: so much great graffiti art.  This is the grungy alley next to my hotel.  Fabulous.
